thats pretty interesting
:iconnougat-len:
that's totally interesting... I like the way of your brush... the lines are very expressive - it's a great piece... yeah, so many people... were they studies? It's sooo interesting...

yay, I love it!

Do you have more of this stuff?

yeah, they were sort of studies. It's lots of ideas, pieces and techniques thrown into one chaotic mess lol. I have uploaded one other piece that is similar to this one, but not i didn't put as much work into the other one. it's called 'chaos' i think, feel free to check it out :)

I'm thinking of keeping this up, as I'm quite happy with the result :)

It is very chaotic but it's also very precise. From the thumb it looks sloppy, but when you get close up to it you can see that there are many elements where you've just nailed a gesture or an expression.

I like seeing something wild and energetic that doesn't come off as painful!
:icongruenewolken:
yeah, it IS very chaotic. It was just an experiment, normally my stuff is more... simple. I HATE it as a thumbnail or small version, you can only really see it when it's large. I do like looking at the original, however, but any smaller, it looks pretty crappy.

I'm not sure if it's not too many elements in it, but I like the two main ones, the two women to the left and right, and the couple in the bottom left corner...

And yeah, it's not painful at all, I agree, neither the expression of the people is, nor are the colours. I tried to create something sensual, flowing, that isn't too drastic if that makes sense.

ack, i typed a really long reply, then hit submit, and poof it disappeared. grrr.

anyway, here goes again...

it IS chaotic, and i don't know know if there aren't actually too many elements to it. I HATE it as a thumbnail or preview, it looks odd and messy, but i do like looking at the original, so yeah. i usually don't do such chaotic stuff, but this was an experiment, and i quite like some of the details, like the two main figures, the women to the left and right, and the couple in the bottom left corner. a few of the other things are definitely a bit of the top, they were mainly added to fill up space lol.

and yeah, it's not painful at all, neither the expression of the people is, nor are the colours, despite the many little things and elements. i tried to capture something sensual and flowing, without any darkness in it.

glad you like it!

lovely. i like the gestural quality of this one it is all combined.

i think it might have been more unitive had it just been the woman on the right, the torso, then the face on the right as well as the woman looking to the left. the chaos though, it's like a menstrual cycle with those colors and the many moods of woman...very flowing...(pardon the pun)
:icongruenewolken:
hahaha i love the pun, made me laugh.

yeah, you pretty much picked out those things i like best, too. those were the things it started off with, but in a desperate attempt to fill the pic, i added the rest, which is how it got that totally weird sense of chaos. the original draft is just the two 'large' women, with only little colour to shade their bodies, so yeah.

this really should be called mad despair or something lol
